Yesterday the man with the wooden bike Frank suggested Longest ride on the longest day, and the nearest Sunday was yesterday, so we took up Franks challenge. 9 left the club with with me Maggie and Chris never having ridden a hundred we left with great trepidation.
Alan Aplin joined us in the hills somewhere for a while.
What I gained from this was what a fantastic group of people we cycle with, all different abilities but willing to support each other over the day through whatever troubles unfolded. Frank had done a marvellous route flat bits hills and a little bit of town to keep us on our toes.
Thanks Frank for organising this and giving us the chance to achieve this goal, and yes 100 miles is a long way.
Frank chose not to ride the wooden bike on this occasion.
