Well, I’m writing this sat having had the most gorgeous meal and not feeling guilty in the slightest. Today has been a tough day but the great company has got us through. The weather started off slightly overcast but gradually became warmer. The British camp behind us and on to the Worcestershire countryside which turned out to be very hilly so when after 35 miles we ended in Bromyard and found a lovely little cafe and it was revealed we had already climbed 992 meters so no wonder that such large lunches were ordered. Out of Bromyard and another testing drag up but soon after the uphills were less than the downhills and gradually as we reached Leominster and found Owen the roads were actually quite pleasant and the run onto Hereford was quite painless. With the Premier Inn in sight, the thought of a nice shower and some food was overwhelming. A challenging day but I think we have all learnt a little about ourself and maybe tomorrows accent of Hay Bluff might be within our grasp, or maybe not, depending on what you choose at the Buffett breakfast we have signed up for.
A big thank you must go to Adrian and Maggie for organising this tour and giving us the chance to test ourself.
Roll on Hay Bluff.
