Not a bad start to our November rides, a sunny morning for our loop around the Malverns.
I want to start by saying how nice it was to have our scenic group back, something has been missing from the club for a while and it was great to have you all back, and although the ride was a little lumpy and some new roads to them, Sue took a tumble and Mary had a puncture which between them they mended it, but I believe Mary said bill Steve for the Manicures as I believe a couple of nails may have been damaged during the repair. But a great effort and well done.
All the other rides headed around Klenchers Mill to the Castle and climbed up to the Malvern road, cutthroat lane and now on the North side of the Malverns. This road is a personal favourite of mine views of the Malverns we don’t see every day, but winding our way out through Mathon and Cradley. It was in Mathon that the intermediate ride split from our route and headed through the village and wound their way through to Colwall and then back through Eastnor, Holybush.
Out of Cradley, we climbed up through Storridge where the sporty ride looped out and climbed through to Leigh Sinton and back on to our course through Lower Howsell Road, Malvern Link and through to Poolbrook road across the common past the showground, Welland around the lanes through to Birtsmorton and home via Pendock.
Now Yellow leader has had better days having to re-edit the Sporty ride at the 11th hour and sending Peter, Ken and Dave wrong way in Malvern link up a no entry road and we never saw them again until we got back, but get back they did and an apology over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
So if anyone knows of a cheap manicurist please pass on their details to Steve.
Thanks to everyone who rode and helped out today it makes my job a lot easier.
Yellow Leader.
