The Leadon Vale Cycling Club (LVCC) started in 2012 with a group of cricketers hoping to improve their fitness through the winter months. They decided to meet and ride on Sunday mornings at the QEII Playing Fields, Corse. The initial few were joined by others who also had a passion for cycling. As participation increased the cycling club was formed.
The club currently has 40 members with riders of all abilities. With four different rides available everyone has a route that they can enjoy.
We are a friendly club, affiliated with Cycling UK, an organisation that promotes cycling for all abilities mainly through road cycling. Rides leave the pavilion every Sunday and Tuesday mornings, weather permitting, on various routes and distances. These routes are available for members to review and upload via our group page on Garmin Connect.
We do not normally include a coffee stop during a ride. We do however all enjoy a hot drink and biscuits after a ride at the cricket pavilion. That said, Tuesday morning rides are having more coffee and cake stops than ever before !
Our aim is to encourage cycling within the community in a safe and friendly.
